Grape tomatoes are the perfect tomato since they are packaged fresh off the vine and small enough to pop in the mouth as a convenient and healthy snack before, during and after meals. “Santa” Sweet is the actual name of the F1 grape tomato hybrid -- the premier brand because it has the most flavor with a higher brix (natural sugar content) compared to other varieties.
F1 hybrid means the first generation created by crossing two different parent varieties. The offspring produces a new, uniform seed variety with specific characteristics from both parents. The purity of the variety is the reason why we call them the “authentic grape tomatoes”. These tomatoes are not genetically modified in any way and you cannot grow the same tomato from the seed of the tomato.
